Stephanie grew up showing in the Pacific Northwest, where she had a successful three-ring junior career. After aging out, she worked for several industry professionals, where she honed her teaching skills and gained priceless experience working with young and difficult horses. She started her own business, Cherry Blossom Farm, in 2012, and has been a USHJA certified trainer since 2014.
Stephanie takes great pride in her ability to help every client succeed, regardless of their experience or resources, and has developed a knack for knowing how and when to push riders to help them maximize their potential. She has extensive experience working with horses of all ages - whether it’s guiding a student teaching their green-broke horse the basics of proper flatwork or fine-tuning a lifelong competitor’s jump-off strategy, Stephanie has the skill and dedication to help every aspiring rider achieve their goals.
Shay began working for Stephanie in 2013 as a working student, where she quickly progressed into a confident and capable horsewoman.
From 2015-2018, Shay travelled the world caring for some of the sport’s biggest equine stars. She was a groom at Cavalia, a live trick-riding show, and later worked for Cian O’Connor, an Olympic show-jumper.
Once deciding to focus on her own riding and training, Shay returned home to Cherry Blossom Farm, where she now assists with training and oversees stable operations.
